Frequently Asked Questions
General
Both marijuana and hemp are from the same “cannabis” species, but hemp contains very little THC, or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the active ingredient in marijuana which gets you high. Hemp contains almost no THC so it cannot be used as a psychoactive drug. The level of THC in hemp used in the United States, Canada, and Europe is limited to 0.3% on a dry weight basis.
The answer to both questions is no. Our products do not contain THC, therefore you cannot get a high from them.
CBD oil is extracted from the entire hemp plant, including the flowers, seeds, and stalks. is only extracted from the seeds and no other parts of the plant.
Our CBD shatter products are meant to be vaporized or smoked, while CBD and Hemp oils are topical and can be used on the skin anywhere on the body.
Phytocannabinoids are the naturally occurring organic compounds that work together to provide health benefits. CBD is the compound that occurs in the greatest concentration in any cannabis variety.
Shatter is a crystallized CBD isolate with added terpenes to enhance different flavors and strain profiles. CBD Shatter has a reputation as the purest and cleanest extract type. The content of heat, moisture, and terpene all affect CBD Shatter's texture and consistency.
CBD Shatter is great because it can either be dissolved into a fat/oil of your choice or vaporized via dabbing or dab-pen. When it comes to feeding your endocannabinoid system with full spectrum CBD Concentrate, dabbing is the preferred way to go. It involves heating the Shatter to a vapor, at which point its ready for direct inhalation to the lungs. Vaporizing the Shatter also helps to avoid burning any harmful carcinogens.
CBD Oil
CBD, or cannabidiol, is found primarily in the leaves and flowers of the cannabis plant. It is a very powerful phytocannabinoid which has properties that make it useful for maintaining the body’s health and well-being.
Full-spectrum CBD means it was extracted from all parts of the plant, rather than a specific area such as only the leaves. Full-spectrum CBD means you get the most benefit from the range of compounds it contains.
CBD works in concert with our body’s endocannabinoid system which works to maintain balance and energy in the body. CBD can help restore this system if it has been damaged by illness or injuries. CBD can be ingested or applied topically to the skin to provide these benefits.
Although both are cannabinoids, THC contains the psychotropic compounds which get you high. CBD contains the cannabinoids which help restore the body’s balance and help reduce inflammation. CBD will not get you high.
All of our products are made in the USA using twice-tested materials that are free of THC and insecticides.
Hemp Seed Oil
This is produced only from the seeds of the hemp plant. These oils are rich in amino acids that are very good for the skin.
Amino acids help enrich the skin tissues and provide essential nutrition. Healthy skin can stand up to daily stresses and environmental damage. Amino acids help provide compounds to rebuild healthy skin.
Hemp oil and hemp extract are both terms used for oil extracted from the entire hemp plant. They will contain CBD. is pressed only from hemp seeds, and does not contain CBD but is rich in amino acids.
Dabbing Directions
Here is our step-by-step process on how to effectively dab CBD at low temperatures, using the Hot and Cold Start Methods:
Hot Start Method (Best for Moderate to Advanced Dabbers)
- First, find a comfortable place to get situated with your dab rig and CBD concentrates. We always recommend dabbing on a quartz banger, but a titanium nail or even an e-nail will work just as well.
- Make sure the water in your rig is always fresh, and the quartz banger is clean for use. If not, heat up your banger/nail until the surface is glowing red and all reclaim or residual carbon burns completely off. This will ensure the best-tasting dab experience.
- Once you’re positioned, heat up the banger/nail with a butane torch until the surface is glowing red.
- After it’s hot, about 10-15 seconds with the torch, you’ll need to wait for the banger to cool to the optimal temperature for dabbing CBD, somewhere around 350-575 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on your temperature preference. But always remember higher temperatures destroy the terpenes. As a general rule, it takes 45-60 seconds for it to cool, but this will vary depending on the style, material and thickness of the banger/nail. The best tool is a Digital Temperature Gun, but a stopwatch or a specialized app for your mobile device all work great to safeguard you from taking an overheated dab.
- As soon as the banger/nail reach the optimal temperature, use the dab tool to place the CBD concentrate on the surface of the banger/nail away from the intake to the dab rig while slowly inhaling the vapor. Place the carb cap over the nail and spin it around to completely vaporize the concentrate.
- Immediately exhale the vapor. Continue inhaling until the dab is finished, adding extra heat at 3-5 seconds intervals as needed…but watch the heat so you don’t destroy the remaining terpenes.
- After completing the dab use a cotton swab to wipe the banger/nail to remove all leftover residue. Then dip the cotton swab in 91% isopropyl alcohol and rub it along the bottom and interior of the banger/nail. Use a dry cotton swab to wipe up the excess, and you’re ready for the next use.
Cold Start Method (Best for Beginner to Moderate Dabbers, or anyone who loves to preserve terpene flavors)
- First, find a comfortable place to get situated with your dab rig and CBD concentrates. We always recommend dabbing on a quartz banger, but a titanium nail will work just as well.
- Make sure the water in your rig is always fresh, and the quartz banger is clean for use. If not, heat up your banger/nail until the surface is glowing red and all reclaim or residual carbon burns completely off. This will ensure the best tasting dab experience. Then wait until the banger/nail is completely cooled down. This may take 5-15 minutes.
- Once you’re positioned, use the dab tool to place the CBD concentrate on the surface of the banger/nail away from the intake to the dab rig. Then heat up the banger/nail with a butane torch for 3-8 seconds or until the CBD concentrate has melted and began to bubble, somewhere around 350-575 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on your temperature preference. But always remember higher temperatures destroy the terpenes.
- As a general rule, it takes 3-8 seconds for it to heat up, but this will vary depending on the style, material and thickness of the banger/nail. The best tool is a Digital Temperature Gun, but a stopwatch or a specialized app for your mobile device all work great to safeguard you from taking an overheated dab.
- As soon as the banger/nail reach the optimal temperature, slowly inhale the vapor.
